Esan Eczacibasi

Since 1978, we have been working for a better future...

Esan, established in 1978 to produce high quality raw materials for the ceramics sector, became one of Turkey’s foremost industrial mineral and metallic mineral producers and exporters of Turkey since its establishment.
Esan, as the producer of Industrial raw materials until 2009, notably feldspar, quartz, clay, bentonite and kaolin which are modern life’s irreplaceable source of products, from glass to technology continued to whose innovations in metallic mines by establishing lead and zinc mine in Balıkesir Balya.

With a growing presence in Central Asia, Esan continues to expand its portfolio through strategic partnerships and high-potential projects.

Regional Highlights:

Kazakhstan: Esan holds six exploration licenses covering nearly 1,000 km² in the South Ural metallogenic belt in the Aktobe Region—four in partnership with Tau-Ken Samruk and two fully owned. These licenses focus on the exploration of copper and zinc, with ongoing fieldwork and drilling programs.

Uzbekistan: Esan has established a joint venture with AGMK to develop the Uch Kulach Lead and Zinc deposit in the Jizzakh Region. The project is currently in the feasibility stage, with significant progress made in drilling, permitting, and regulatory coordination.

Esan’s successful operations in both countries reflect its long-term commitment to developing the region’s mineral potential with international standards and local partnerships.
