Application of Geophysical Data in the Exploration and Prospecting of Ore Deposits

To study ore-forming systems, a range of geophysical methods is applied, with magnetic, electrical, and gravity surveys being the primary techniques. Borehole geophysical investigations are also conducted, playing a supplementary role.
The presentation briefly outlines the experience gained, with a particular focus on the results of recent key projects and conclusions regarding the effectiveness of the geophysical surveys performed.

The growing global interest in deep mineral exploration demands a new approach to the planning of geophysical work in Central Asia. In this context, the presentation discusses the potential for conducting large-scale, national programs aimed at studying the deep structure of the Earth’s crust in Central Asia. As justification for such initiatives, examples of national-scale surveys from Australia, the United States, Canada, and China are provided. A phased implementation scenario is considered, starting with priority and most promising regions.

The specialists of the Scientific and Production Center “GEOKEN” have extensive experience in carrying out geological and geophysical investigations, engineering surveys, and thematic scientific research across various regions of Kazakhstan and abroad. All studies are conducted by qualified professionals using modern methodologies, advanced equipment, and technologies to address specific tasks—whether it is mineral exploration, detailed borehole profiling, digitization, or the interpretation of geological and geophysical data.
