Elena V. Son is the Executive Director of the American-Uzbekistan Chamber of Commerce (AUCC), the US-Kyrgyzstan Business Council (USKGZBC), the US-Tajikistan Business Council (USTJBC), and the US-Afghanistan Business Initiative (USABI). In her role, Ms. Son is a driving force behind fundraising initiatives, actively engaging with the board of directors and leading efforts to expand membership across all councils. Her strategic vision focuses on building strong, sustainable partnerships with large U.S. corporations, governments in the U.S. and Central Asia, and International Financial Institutions. Her work emphasizes trade and investment opportunities, market access, and creating a competitive and favorable business climate in the region.

Ms Son is a recipient of the official recognition and award by order of the Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Kyrgyz Republic, A.U. Japarov, dated December 11, 2024,"For a significant contribution to the development of bilateral economic cooperation between the Kyrgyz Republic and the United States of America, as well as for the creation of a sustainable platform for cooperation and strengthening the image of the Kyrgyz Republic on the world stage, in accordance with Article 18 of the Constitutional Law of the Kyrgyz Republic 'On the Cabinet of Ministers of the Kyrgyz Republic.

Ms Son is also a recipient of the prestigious Christian Adams Golden Award from the UK Foreign and Commonwealth Office.

In addition to her role as Executive Director, Ms. Son is a Rebranding Ambassador for the Ronald Reagan Building and International Trade Center in Washington, D.C., and she serves on the Washington D.C. Mayoral Commission on National and Community Service and is a Parish Council Member of St. Nicholas Cathedral in Washington, D.C. Her leadership in fundraising, board relations, and membership growth has been instrumental in advancing the goals of the organizations she leads and supports.
