Strategic Collaboration for Rare Metals: Korea-Uzbekistan Model for Sustainable Innovation
This presentation will emphasize the strategic role of rare metals in advanced industrial applications and the importance of international standardization in building sustainable and secure supply chains. It will introduce Korea’s collaboration model with Uzbekistan for rare metal refinement and recycling through ODA-driven infrastructure and joint R&D. The presentation highlights how standardization, certification, and public-private partnerships can enhance the traceability, quality assurance, and global competitiveness of rare earth-based materials in electric vehicles, semiconductors, and high-performance alloys.
